Le Fevre Karndo Lightning Ice Hockey team have come a long way since we began in the Ice Factor program.  Senior students are the leaders and mentors of younger players joining the team which seems to bring out the best in our students.  The students learn that this program is about more than just ice hockey and they gain many valuable life skills over the years of involvement.  Our team works well together in the classroom and on the ice and works through any difficulties or obstacles in a responsible manner.  The current team are becoming more vocal and show strong support for each other, win or lose.  I am really proud of the way our team models to other schools what the Ice Factor program is all about.  This team has a great understanding that the Ice Factor program is bigger than them as individuals and they have a responsibility to leave a lasting positive legacy for the future students who may join.
