Adelaide’s at risk youth in the Ice Factor Program will feature in a spectacular Fashion Parade produced and choreographed by generous professionals and volunteers from the
Powell Model Agency and the community who genuinely believe in them.
The Ice Factor is a life skills program that assists at risk, disengaged or disadvantaged teenagers identified by the high schools. From one disengaged group in 2005, the program has expanded to support teenagers in 18 high schools, over 300 this year and over 2000 since we began. We seek to capture their motivation to re-engage with school and community and change the direction of their lives through teaching life skills and a team sport (ice hockey).
The program has only been possible because of the generosity of community sponsors.
The funds raised will enable each participant to
obtain their own ice skates and enable the program to continue and expand.
